No, we are not ready yet. But we will be on that plane Tues. night to Dublin one way or another. When we arrive there the next morning (Wed.) we will be greeted by Margaret's Uncle Pat and so we'll maybe have some lunch and take a nap. Our flight to Budapest is late that afternoon.
Took Devin to the doc this morning -- just wanted her to get checked out before we shove off -- and aside from the cough we knew she had, the doctor also discovered an ear infection. So, here's hoping 4 days and 8 doses of amoxycillin make it so that descending from the atmosphere in the Emerald Isle isn't sheer hell for little Dev's ears, not to mention us and our fellow passengers.
I did a dopey dad thing today and promised Devin in the examining room that there weren't going to be any shots. I was just sure of it -- you know the rest. Dev's new doctor came in and said she was actually due for 4 shots and that travelling to Hungary may actually warrant a Hepatitis B shot -- she went to her office to check the Web site that tracks such thing and came back with the bad news. Devin took it as well as could be expected -- some whimpering but all and all she was a good kid consdering and took a stick in each arm (the three others we'll save for her return in June). I checked with the nurse beforehand who promised there would be stickers following the sticking and Devin left with a hand full of them and a smile on her face.

We have a place to live!
We rented a flat in Budapest! We're in a neighborhood called Blaha Luzha, right near a metro stop!
We're kind of excited -- it sounds like the kind of diverse, interesting neighborhood that we like, and our landlords and next door neighbors are an American woman and a Hungarian man with a young family.
